Sara Asim grew up surrounded by a family who used visual art as a form of creative expression which helped shape who she is today. Sara’s artistic journey began around 10 years ago when she experienced a series of recurring migraine attacks and painting became her therapeutic outlet. Her natural surroundings as well as her Nubian heritage constantly inspire her and influence her art. She expresses a wide array of her personal emotions through colours, textures and symbols which are unique to her experiences and feelings at that given time.
